Xanthan Gum Transparent

This special grade produces clear xanthan gum solutions for applications where clarity is essential. It conforms to the USP/NF Xanthan Gum monograph. Xanthan gum is a high molecular weight water soluble polysaccharide that is widely used as a rheology control agent for clear and transparent aqueous systems. It builds viscosity, helps to stabilise emulsions, and suspends solids so they do not settle out, in a wide variety of applications. Typical applications for this grade are moisturising gels, washing gels, and washing and facial scrubs.

It also has mild skin moisturising and humectant properties.

Function by application: Hair Care — thickener and emulsion stabiliser

Cleaning Products — thickener and flow control agent

Bath Products — used to increase the viscosity in bathing products like shower gel, soaps, hand washes, body wash and body scrubs

Skincare — thickener and emulsion stabiliser for creams and lotions

Toothpaste — binder to keep formulation together

Suspending agent — for spices in food and exfoliants in body/facial scrubs

Agricultural chemicals — suspending and dispersing agent

Pest control chemicals — suspending and dispersing agent
