✨ Introducing the New Owners of The Sourcery
Leah Davey & Shaun Walker
After many wonderful years of magic-making under the guidance of Glenda and Martin Carson, The Sourcery has officially entered a new chapter — and we (Leah & Shaun) are incredibly excited and honoured to be its new custodians.
The Sourcery has always stood for creativity, experimentation, and the pure joy of crafting. From soapmaking and cosmetics to dyeing feathers, leather finishing, aromatherapy, cleaning products, trophy care, and everything in between — Glenda and Martin built a vibrant community of makers, creators and curious minds. We’re thrilled to carry that spark forward.
We’re committed to keeping everything you love about The Sourcery while adding a little fresh energy, a few new ideas, and some expanded product options over the coming months.
About Us
Leah is a food technologist with over 25 years’ experience running food, nutrition and cosmetic ingredient businesses across ANZ and APAC. She’s spent her career helping people create great things from great ingredients.
When she’s not working, you’ll find her on the ocean, happily out boating of any kind, exploring new places, enjoying great food, or hanging out with their two little English Staffies, Nugget and Chili, who firmly believe they run the show.
Shaun spent much of his life playing and coaching professional rugby before moving into operational and trade-related businesses here in New Zealand where him and Leah met. He brings a steady, practical, hands-on approach to everything we do.
Outside of work, Shaun is usually on Mangawhai’s golf course, or at his beloved Argentinian BBQ setup, testing out new ideas and perfecting the art of low-and-slow cooking or being the best dog Dad (Dad is their undisputed favourite 😊)
A New Home for The Sourcery
The Sourcery now runs out of a warehouse in beautiful Mangawhai, where orders are packed, ideas are tested, and where the next chapter of this magical little business is already taking shape.
