Syn-Ake equivalent (Dipeptide Diaminobutyroyl Benzylamide Diacetate) — 2500ppm solution

A synthetic anti-wrinkle peptide inspired by a compound first identified in temple viper venom, and one of the most widely used expression-line actives in modern skincare. In leave-on facial formulations it is valued for a smoothing, relaxing effect on the appearance of dynamic fine lines — particularly across the forehead and around the eyes.

This is a Syn-Ake^®-equivalent active, supplied pre-diluted at 2500ppm and ready to blend into your formulation.

How to use

• Use level: 1–4% of your total formula, with 4% giving the strongest effect. This refers to the solution as supplied.
• Add to the water phase at cool-down, below 40°C. The material tolerates up to 70°C for two hours with minimal loss of stability, but late addition is still recommended.
• Formulate at pH 3.5–6.5.
• Do not apply neat to the skin — this is a formulation additive. Always blend it into a serum, gel or cream and patch test the finished formula.

This peptide is not compatible with the following, which can reduce its activity. Please check your preservative system in particular:

• Benzyl Alcohol
• Dehydroacetic Acid
• Urea
• Disodium Cocoamphodiacetate
• Sodium Metabisulfite
• Propylene Glycol
• PEG-40 Hydrogenated Castor Oil

Phenoxyethanol-based preservatives (such as Optiphen) are a suitable alternative where a benzyl alcohol or dehydroacetic acid system would otherwise be used.

Typical applications

Anti-ageing serums, eye creams, targeted expression-line treatments and moisturisers. Effect is reported to appear within a few hours of application and is short-acting, so consistent daily use gives the best result.
