INCI: Stearalkonium Chloride (and) Glycerin

Microcare® Quat SBG is an 85% active quaternary ammonium conditioning and anti-static agent suitable for the formulation of hair conditioners/rinses.  It is supplied in pellet form. Highly soluble in water and has excellent anti-static, anti-frizz & detangling properties. As such, it is commonly used in hair conditioners, hair treatment masks, hair rinses, de-tangling and anti-frizz products. It is especially effective for softening coarse hair.

Stearalkonium chloride also has good emulsifying properties (able to mix oil and water), plus has mild anti-microbial properties.
