Rosemary Oleoresin
INCI: Rosmarinus Officinalis (Rosemary) Leaf Extract
Rosemary Oleoresin is an oil-soluble natural extract from the rosemary plant (Rosmarinus officinalis), rich in naturally occurring antioxidant compounds — principally carnosic acid and carnosol. It is used to slow the oxidation of oils, butters and fats, helping to protect finished formulations against rancidity and extend their shelf life.
A viscous dark brown-green liquid with a subtle herbal note that typically remains imperceptible in finished products at recommended use levels. Soluble in oils and ethyl alcohol.
Uses: Ideal for balms, salves, serums, creams, lotions, soaps, massage and carrier oil blends — anywhere you want to guard against oxidation naturally.
Recommended usage rate: 0.1–1%, added to the oil phase.
Please note: Rosemary Oleoresin is an antioxidant, not a preservative. Water-containing formulations still require a broad-spectrum preservative.
Features: Vegan · Palm-free · Not tested on animals · No added GMOs.
