Liquid Carbomer

Liquid Carbomer is an acrylate copolymer based thickening agent. It can be used for a wide range of products from skincare to haircare to emulsion stabilisation and suspension of exfoliants in gels and creams. It is supplied in its acid (unthickened form) and the pH must be increased to around neutral to activate the thickening properties. Typical use level is 0.5 - 6%

Typical uses include;

Gelling agent - Can be used to make clear gels, gelled exfoliants and scrubs

Suspending agent - Can be utilised to suspend exfoliants, pigments, colourants and particulates.

Emulsion stabiliser - When used in creams, helps prevent separation and improve stability and viscosity

Haircare - Improves the stability of styling products, gels, shampoos and creams

Homecare - Can be used to thicken toilet cleaners, hard surface cleaners and sprays

Bodycare - Can make gelled facial cleaners, bodywashes and baby washes.
