Co-Enzyme Q10 (10%, Encapsulated Powder, Water-Soluble)

This is a water-soluble, encapsulated form of Co-Enzyme Q10 at 10% strength — a fine powder in which the Co-Enzyme Q10 is encapsulated so it disperses readily in water. That solves the classic formulating problem with Co-Enzyme Q10: on its own it is oil-soluble and difficult to work into water-based products.

Because this grade is water-dispersible, you can add Co-Enzyme Q10's antioxidant benefits to serums, essences, gels, toners and aqueous lotions where ordinary oil-soluble Co-Enzyme Q10 simply won't go. (For oil-phase formulating, see our Co-Enzyme Q10 Powder (98%, Oil-Soluble).)

What it does: Co-Enzyme Q10 is a potent antioxidant naturally present in skin, where its levels decline with age. Topically it helps neutralise free radicals and support the skin against oxidative and environmental (photo-ageing) stress, making it a popular active in anti-ageing and protective skincare.

How to use: disperse into the water phase (or the cool-down phase) with good mixing until evenly distributed. As the powder is 10% active, a little goes a long way — a typical addition of around 1–5% of this powder delivers roughly 0.1–0.5% Co-Enzyme Q10 in the finished product. Adjust to your target.
