Xanthan gum is widely used in foods, particularly in salad dressings and sauces, for its stabilizing properties that prevent oil separation and ability to suspend solid particles. Although not an emulsifier, it contributes to the desired texture in many ice creams.
Xanthan Gum has many uses from cleaning products to food to personal care products. It is a thickening agent, suspending agent and emulsion stabilizer. Xanthan Gum also has mild skin moisturizing and humectant properties.
Food emulsions: Fat replacer for salad dressings, ice cream, mayonnaise frozen foods and sauces.
Hair Care: ProductsThickener and emulsion stabilizer
Cleaning Products: Thickener and flow control agent
Bath Products: Used to increase the viscosity in bathing products like shower gel, soaps, hand washes, body wash and body scrubs
