Sulphur Powder has many uses. Starting from the beekeeping industry, through rubber for vulcanisation, through to cellulose, pharmaceutical and petroleum. Sulfur is used in the production of plant protection products, artificial fibers, and is ideal for disinfecting rooms. It is a very popular product used for soil acidification.
Sulphur is a natural garden fungicide with a minimum purity of 99.9%. It can control various fungi problems and it is also effective against spider mites. In glasshouses, it can be used to fumigate against wintering over pests, but be careful not to damage any growing plants.
To use, place a small amount of pure sulphur powder on a steel hearth shovel or blade of a spade and ignite it outside before placing it inside the glasshouse. Leave immediately, closing the door behind you, and do not re-enter for 24 hours. Use caution as it is difficult to put out and the smoke can be harmful to breathe. Increase the amount for larger glasshouses and tunnel houses.
As a topical acne treatment, sulfur works similarly to benzoyl peroxide and salicylic acid. But unlike these other acne-fighting ingredients, sulfur tends to be gentler on your skin.
Sulfur helps dry out the surface of your skin to help absorb excess oil (sebum) that may contribute to acne breakouts. It also dries out dead skin cells to help unclog your pores. Sulphur can be formulated into creams, scrubs, masks and serums.
