Sodium Copper Chlorophyllin Complex

A dark-green, water-soluble derivative of natural chlorophyll, used in formulations targeting the appearance of photodamaged and ageing skin. Copper is substituted for magnesium at the core of the chlorophyll molecule, producing a stable, highly water-soluble green pigment with skin-conditioning activity.

Studied activity:

• Stimulation of extracellular matrix biomarkers (fibrillin, amyloid P, epidermal mucins) associated with the appearance of photoaged skin
• Anti-hyaluronidase activity supporting dermal hyaluronic acid levels
• Antioxidant action
• Non-comedogenic (comedogenicity rating 0)

Suggested applications: serums and creams targeting the appearance of fine lines, photodamage and uneven tone, formulations for redness-prone skin, and use as a natural colourant for skincare, haircare and oral care products.
