Prebiotic Inulin AGA

Prebiotic Inulin AGA is an inulin (a plant fructan) of a chain length specifically selected for topical use. It functions as a humectant and as a prebiotic substrate for the skin microbiota.

It may be used in any type of skin or haircare product.

Skin Barrier Enhancement
Inulin has been shown to strengthen the skin barrier by promoting the growth of beneficial skin microbiota and improving hydration. This helps protect against environmental stressors and reduces transepidermal water loss (TEWL).

Moisturizing and Hydrating Properties
Topical application of inulin can improve skin hydration by acting as a humectant, drawing moisture into the skin and maintaining its elasticity.

Appearance of Ageing - Used in formulations targeting skin elasticity and the appearance of fine lines.

Microbiome Balance
- Acts as a prebiotic for skin microbiota.




Hair and Scalp - Used in hair care products to support the scalp microbiome.

Use levels: 1 - 5%
