Dipotassium Phosphate (DKP) – Food Grade, also known as dibasic potassium phosphate or potassium hydrogen phosphate (K₂HPO₄), is a high-purity inorganic potassium salt of phosphoric acid. It is used as a buffering agent, acidity regulator, sequestrant and emulsifying salt, and it gives a mildly alkaline solution.
Applications
Non-dairy creamers and coffee whiteners: buffers pH to help prevent feathering in hot, acidic coffee.
Dairy and processed cheese: emulsifying salt and protein stabiliser.
Powdered drink mixes and sports beverages: pH buffering.
Food and supplement blends: source of potassium and phosphate for mineral fortification.
Storage
Store in the original sealed container in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. Hygroscopic — reseal after use.
