Gamma Polyglutamic Acid (High Molecular Weight)

INCI Name: gamma polyglutamic acid (sodium salt), or sodium polyglutamate Gamma Polyglutamic Acid (high molecular weight) is a high molecular weight polymer of glutamic acid, produced by fermentation of soybean paste. It is used in the water phase as a humectant. In testing it showed greater moisturising performance on the skin than Hyaluronic Acid.

From the results of the experiment, Polyglutamic acid showed the following activity:

Inhibits hyaluronidase — reduces the activity of hyaluronidase, the enzyme that breaks down the skin's own hyaluronic acid

- Increases the hyaluronic acid content in human skin culture : Increases the skin's Hyaluronic Acid level.

- Increases the level of NMFs in human skin culture : Increases Natural Moisturizing Amino Acids of the skin.

Supports the skin's own ability to maintain moisture

Supports skin comfort in formulations for sensitive skin

Usage: For skin moisturizing products

Mixing method: Dissolve in water, avoid heat above 60 degrees.

Usage rate: 0.1-1% (recommended 0.3-0.5%)
