Phosphoric acid (also known as orthophosphoric acid) is a mineral acid, most commonly supplied as an 85% solution in water. Phosphoric acid 85% is colourless, odourless, and non-volatile. The 85% solution is a viscous syrupy liquid.

Like most mineral acids, Phosphoric acid is corrosive and must be handled carefully, with eye and skin protection used.

Common uses include;
