Liquid Carbomer

Liquid Carbomer is an acrylate copolymer thickening and suspending agent. Used across skincare, haircare, emulsion stabilisation and the suspension of exfoliants in gels and creams. It is supplied in its acid (unthickened form) and the pH must be increased to around neutral to activate the thickening properties. Typical use level is 0.5 - 6%

Typical uses include;

Gelling agent - Can be used to make clear gels, gelled exfoliants and scrubs

Suspending agent - Can be utilised to suspend exfoliants, pigments, colourants and particulates.

Emulsion stabiliser - in creams, builds viscosity and holds the emulsion against separation

Haircare - improves the stability of styling products, gels, shampoos and creams

Homecare - thickens toilet cleaners, hard surface cleaners and sprays

Bodycare - gelled facial cleansers, bodywashes and baby washes
