Kukui Oil is a versatile and multipurpose natural oil which has a rejuvenating and soothing effect on the skin, without leaving a greasy residue. It serves as an excellent moisturizer, especially for dry or sensitive skin. Also referred to as candlenut or Tung oil, Kukui has a traditional use as a drying oil, producing a hardened film once dried. It is often used in skincare similarly to castor seed oil, providing rich emollient properties for extra dry skin and acting as a wetting agent for colorants.

Native to Polynesia, Hawaii, Southeast Asia, and China. Extracted using the expeller press method.

Commonly used as a carrier oil by manufacturers, aromatherapists, and massage therapists, particularly as a conditioning agent in hair care products. Consistency is typical and characteristic of carrier oils. Absorbs into skin at an average speed, leaving a slight enriching oil feeling.
