INCI: Magnesium Sulfate Epsom Salts (Magnesium Sulphate) is a hydrated magnesium sulphate salt, supplied as crystals and freely water soluble. Uses of Epsom Salts (Magnesium Sulphate)
Bath products — dissolves readily in warm water; used as the bulk salt in bath soaks and bath crystals.
Home brewing — as a brewing salt for water adjustment at a rate of 5grams (1 teaspoon) per 20 litres. Can be used to add "crispness" to the hop bitterness.
Body scrubs — mix Epsom salt with body oil or olive oil and rub it on wet skin as a mechanical exfoliant to remove dead skin. Rinse skin thoroughly.
Tiles cleaner — mix detergent & Epsom salts and scrub the tiles.
In hand wash — mix Epsom salt with baby oil for a scrubbing hand wash.
Gardening Uses — sprinkle Epsom salt once a week around plants.
Bath Bombs — mix with Citric acid and sodium bicarbonate to make bath bombs.
