Camellia Sinensis Leaf Extract – Green Tea Extract 2% EGCG (Liquid)

A liquid green tea extract standardised to 2.00–2.20% epigallocatechin gallate (EGCG), supplied in a propylene glycol carrier with C12-15 Pareth-12 as a solubiliser. This is a ready-to-use liquid extract, not a concentrated EGCG powder.

EGCG is the principal catechin in green tea and functions as an antioxidant in cosmetic formulations. The liquid format disperses readily into water-based systems.

Formulating

• Use rate: 1–5% (approx. 0.02–0.11% EGCG in the finished formula)
• Add at the final stage, below 40 °C
• Stable at pH 3.5–5.0
• Include a metal-ion chelating stabiliser (approx. 1%) and avoid vitamin E in the same formula
• Use opaque packaging; may darken the colour of the finished product (green-brown-purple tones)

Suitable for gels, serums, lotions and creams.
