Cedarwood or Cedar Oil is an aromatic essential oil with many useful properties. Historically used for medicine, perfumery and even embalming by the ancient Egyptians, Cedarwood Atlas may be the first essential oil used by humans.
It is used in equine care, skincare, timber and leather preservation. Cedar Oil has many uses, including;
Equine care: As an insect repellent - mix with an absorbent such as sawdust & hang in stockings near stables
Skincare: Mild antiseptic and anti-microbial
Timber: Re-oils and renovates oil timber and protects from drying out
Leather: Protects and lubricates leather articles
Fragrance: Used as a component in perfumes and also for incense sticks
Massage: Mixed with carrier oils such as jojoba, sweet almond or olive oil
Aromatherapy: For treatment of acne, arthritis, bronchitis, dandruff, dermatitis, and stress. Use to create bespoke Essential Oil Blends.
