Caprylyl Glycol Preservative Booster

Caprylyl Glycol is a liquid when warm and white waxy solid in cooler storage conditions.

It is ideal for use as a preservative booster/potentiator, emollient, humectant, emulsion stabiliser, and wetting agent in cosmetic and skin care products.  It can be used for all types of hair and skincare products including creams, lotions, gels and mists.  It is also useful as a booster for solubilising of oils into waterbased products.

Caprylyl Glycol effectively locks in skin moisture, reduces transepidermal water loss, and increases skin moisture content. It is soluble in both aqueous and oil phases. It maintains stability even under extreme temperatures and pH levels, without affecting the stability of emulsions.

Use levels 0.5 - 5% depending on the end use.
