Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride (INCI: Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride) is a light, fast-spreading emollient and skin conditioner. It is a defined medium-chain ester of caprylic (C8) and capric (C10) acids on a glycerol backbone, derived from RSPO-certified palm kernel oil.
As a purified, constant-composition C8/C10 triglyceride it differs from fractionated coconut oil, which is a broader distillation cut of medium-chain fatty acids. This gives a consistent, low-odour, oxidatively stable emollient batch to batch.
