Calcium Hydroxide

Calcium Hydroxide, also known as Lime or Hydrated Lime, is a mild alkali with a multitude of uses including pH adjustment, depilatory creams, waterglassing of eggs and gardening.

Also used for tanning of leather, masonry/cement/concrete and much more.

Waterglassing of eggs to preserve them can be achieved by dispersing 30g of Lime in 1 L of clean preferably filtered water and leaving the eggs to soak until needed.
