Burdock Root Extract

Burdock Root Extract is a hydroglycerolic maceration of Arctium Lappa.  This extract provides anti-fungal and seborrhea regulation in deodorant, hair and scalp formulations. It is especially used for greasy and flaky skin and scalp. Burdock belongs to the Asteraceae plant family. The main components of the root are inuline, glucose polysaccharides, essential oils, polyenes resin, tannins, minerals, proteins and sterols.

Burdock is used as a blood purifier to clear the bloodstream of toxins and as a topical remedy for skin problems such as eczema, acne, and psoriasis. The anti-inflammatory and anti-bacterial properties of Burdock Root can help skin issues when applied to the skin. Especially, luteolin and quercetin rhamnoside which has anti-oxidant effect exists in Burdock Root.
