The change of seasons causes many of us to suffer from dry or cracked lips - the solution - Nourishing Lip Balm. Lip balms are easy to create and you can make them to suit your specific needs.
Ingredients:
Vegetable Oil such as Sweet Almond Oil or Apricot Kernal Oil. Waxes such as Beeswax. Flavours such as Vanilla, Raspberry, Strawberry, Mint or Sweet Orange.
Method:
Combine 2 Tablespoons (40ml) of your preferred Vegetable Oil, 1 heaped teaspoon (5g) of wax heated to just melted either in a metal pot or microwave. Add your prefered Flavour and mix thoroughly then pour into a Lip Balm pot or small container and leave to set before use.
Makes approximately 4 small pots.
To make a richer or even more norishing Lip Balm add 1/2 teaspoon of Cocoa Butter, Shea Butter or Mango Butter.
More Oil will make a softer Lip Balm, more Beeswax a firmer one.
